Welcome to The OWC!

 

The OWC exists to provide a network of support and assistance for its members.

At the general meetings, normally held on the second Wednesday of each month, members make new friends, catch up with old ones, and discover interesting aspects of living in Chennai and India.

The club’s activities range from shopping trips and visits to interesting sites in and around the city to big events such as our annual fundraising ball and a Santa brunch for the children.

The club also assists many charities throughout the city by providing social events and financial aide to brighten the lives of the city’s poorest.

Regular activities include: bridge, mahjong, a toddler play group, cooking demonstrations (Tiffin Club), Ladies Who Lunch (meet for lunch at restaurants around the city), Sundowners, arts & crafts, book club and Scottish dancing.

Monthly newsletters keep members updated on OWC community news and the above-mentioned events. We also have an online forum for members to post messages asking and giving advice, advertising items for sale and discussing life in Chennai.
